Servas Brazil is honored and very happy to invite you to participate in the Servas Latin America Youth Eco-Camp from November 2nd to 5th (2023) at Acampamento Paiol Grande, city of São Bento do Sapucaí – SP (https://www. acampamentopaiolgrande.com.br/).
The Camping has its program for the seasonal public, but servas members and servas members’ families who wish to come will be able to participate in cultural and sports activities. It’ll be an opportunity to interact with people from different places and promote Servas.
Servas event will cost R$560.00, including overnight stay plus 05 (five) daily meals. The amount could be paid over 6 (six) installments on the credit card. This value also applies to companions (family and friends). Children up to 5 years old are free. However, when registering, they must inform that they are companions of Servas members. If someone prefers to have lunch at the camp on November 2nd, they’ll have to pay an extra R$40.00, totaling R$600.00 per person. R$600.00 means approximately 125 dollars.
1st part: How to get there by plane: The nearest airport are Guarulhos (2:40h from São Bento do Sapucaí by car), Congonhas (3:33h from São Bento do Sapucaí), Viracopos (3:36h from São Bento do Sapucaí by car), Santos Dumont (5:05h from São Bento do Sapucaí by car) and Galeão (4:55h from São Bento do Sapucaí by car);

Guarulhos Airport to São José dos Campos.
Bus schedule: from 7:00 am to 11:15 pm, with prices from R$31.60 (conventional) to R$48.00 (executive).
Then, São José dos Campos to São Bento do Sapucaí – SP
Important: Currently, arrivals are at the São Bento do Sapucaí bus station at 4:00 pm (R$31,25). Also, suitcases will be placed in the luggage compartment of the bus.
Camp leaving day route (on November 05th)
São José dos Campos to Guarulhos Airport:
Sundays: 1:34 pm, 2:45 pm, 4:00 pm – R$39.30
05:45 pm (R$55.70); 06:45 pm (R$39.30); 09:30 pm (R$55.70); 11:30 pm (R$39.30).
There are possibilities to rent a van – Round trip (São José dos Campos to São Bento; São Bento to São José dos Campos) for R$1,600.00 in a car with 18 seats (R$88.88 per person). Another 15-seat car will cost R$1,300.00 (R$86.66 per person). It’s important to clarify that the driver will leave people right at the Camping. Please let us know if you want to be part of that planning.
Check-in at the camp will be at 12:00 pm for lunch; then, around 4:30 pm, the camp will serve a delicious coffee with regional delicacies. On November 5th at 2:30 pm, the Camping check-out will have to be done
The dorms are chalets with 07 or 15 bunk beds, which means 14 or 30 places, separated by gender. Usually people are allocated in the chalets in order of registration and by age group. The Servians will stay together in private cabins. If someone prefers to sleep outside the camp, there will be no discount on the accommodation rate. There are several accommodation options nearby the camp.
Those who want to bring family and friends and fully participate in the “family season” program can choose between staying in the family chalet or the Servas chalet.
APG (Paiol Grande Camping) does not provide bed/bath linen, but the administration can lend it, since many come from far away and cannot carry it. We also remind you that the camp routine is not similar to hotels; there will be some fixed schedules for the meals.
To register, you have to send a message to WhatsApp +55 (12) 3971-1537 – fixed WhatsApp) of the APG. Servas members will receive the form/link that must be completed in addition to the necessary guidelines. It will be useful to provide information about health, special diet (if any) and emergency contact in case of need. Registration for the event is open, ending on October 20th, with the possibility of revising the date. If you need help to register please let us know.

1) Servas members do not need to submit an LOI (Letter of Introduction) to participate.
